About this double flush casement window
This is a double casement window in timber: two side-hung opening lights side by side, each divided by a horizontal glazing bar, with both casements closing flush into the frame. It suits living rooms and bedrooms where you want generous ventilation and the flat, even face of traditional cottage joinery. It is made to your measurements and delivered fully finished across the UK, from £599+VAT.
Two opening lights
Both casements open outwards, so you can air a room fully on a warm day or open just one side. The horizontal bar splits each light into two panes, keeping cottage proportions without cluttering the view, and sits over a sealed double-glazed unit. For a smaller opening, the single flush casement window has one light with cross bars; for a wide opening with a full Georgian grid, see the Georgian triple flush casement.
Why flush matters
Each casement sits level with the face of the frame when closed, rather than overlapping it like a storm-proof casement, so the elevation looks flat and even from the street. That is how casements were traditionally made, and every casement in our range is flush. If you are curious how the style developed, read our history of casement windows.

Getting a price
The final figure depends on size, timber, glazing and colour. Send us your measurements, or drawings if you have them, and you will have a detailed quote within 48 hours. We supply only: a 50% deposit starts manufacture, the balance is paid on delivery, and your own installer fits the window. For typical budgets across our range, see timber window prices.
Frequently asked questions
Do both sides open?
Yes, both lights are side-hung opening casements. If you would rather have one side fixed, or a different arrangement altogether, send us the layout and we will make it to your drawing.
What is the difference between flush and storm-proof casements?
On a flush casement the sash sits level with the frame, giving a traditional, even look. On a storm-proof casement the sash overlaps the frame and leaves a visible step. All our casements are flush.
Can I have Georgian bars instead of a single bar?
Yes. Our Georgian triple casement shows the full grid across three lights, and we can make a two-light window with the same grid to your drawing.
How long does it take?
Around 20 working days from your deposit, then the window is delivered fully finished to your address anywhere in the UK.
